The Way Back Home is a 5-day immersive spiritual and shamanic journey designed to reconnect you with Mother Nature, your primal self, and the deep wisdom of the Earth. Held in the stunning Wicklow Mountains, the journey combines ancestral knowledge, sacred ceremony, and personal transformation to guide participants back to their true essence.

This journey is for seekers, healers, nature-lovers, and anyone yearning for deeper connection, inner freedom, and meaningful change. If you feel disconnected, overwhelmed by modern life, or called to a greater purpose, this journey is for you.
3. What makes this journey different from others?
Unlike general wellness or nature journeys, this is a deeply spiritual, shamanic journey inspired by ancestral traditions and guided by direct spiritual insight. Each day is an intentional rite of passage, crafted to reconnect you with the voice of the Earth, your innate wisdom, and your role in the greater web of life.
4. Where is the journey held?
The journey is held at Mucklagh Lodge, a sacred and secluded retreat center nestled in the Wicklow Mountains — often referred to as the best retreat space in Ireland for spiritual work and deep reconnection.
5. What’s included in the journey?
-5-day guided program
-Full board: 3 seasonal vegetarian meals + snacks daily
-4-night accommodation

6. What are the themes of each day?
Each day is an intentional journey:
Day 1: The Offering — Recognizing our impact and beginning healing with the Earth.
Day 2: Divine Blueprint — Learning Nature’s language and aligning with your soul’s path.
Day 3: Shaman’s Voice — Reconnecting to your native expression beyond words.
Day 4: Voice of Creation — Awakening your power to co-create through sound and ceremony.
Day 5: At One with Earth — Embodying unity and merging with the wild sacred self.
7. Do I need previous shamanic or spiritual experience?
No prior experience is needed. All that is required is an open heart, a willingness to feel deeply, and a longing for authentic connection. This space welcomes both seasoned practitioners and first-time explorers.
8. What should I bring?
-A pen and journal (no digital devices for note-taking)
-A drum and rattle (if you have them)
-Comfortable clothes, including extras that can get dirty or wet
-Warm layers for outdoor sessions
-Earplugs (optional for sleeping)
-Any personal dietary needs or snacks (the nearest shop is 1 hour away)
9. What kind of food is provided?
You will be served seasonal, vegetarian meals aligned with the Four Elements.
Meals are lovingly prepared to nourish both body and spirit, with 3 meals daily plus 1–2 snacks.
10. How much does it cost?
The full cost will be communicated upon inquiry. A €500 deposit is required to secure your place. Please note: Deposits are non-refundable, and cancellation requires two weeks’ notice.
11. Is accommodation shared?
Yes. Group accommodation is provided in a shared format. This supports community bonding and the collective spirit of the journey.
12. What are the journey's times?
Start: Thursday at 9:00 AM Finish: Monday at 4:00 PM
Meals included from Thursday lunch through Monday brunch
13. Will there be outdoor sessions?
Yes! Weather permitting, much of the journey includes ceremonies, fire circles, and practices held outdoors — honoring the elements and connecting deeply with the land.
14. Is this journey suitable for people with trauma?
Yes, but please note this is not a clinical setting. The work is deeply healing and spiritually supportive. If you have serious or untreated trauma, you may want to consult your therapist beforehand. This journey can provide a powerful space for transformation when held with care and readiness.
15. What is the meaning of “Heyoka”?
In Lakota tradition, a Heyoka is a sacred mirror — someone who sees through illusion and helps others awaken by offering reflection, often through paradox and deep truth. At Heyoka, we specialize in transformative work that returns you to your authentic self, rooted in love, unity, and service to life.
16. Who facilitates the journey?
The journey is led by Lilly, founder of Heyoka, spiritual guide, and Quechuan-initiated P’aqo (shaman). With over 13 years of journeying through healing, rewilding, and spiritual service, Lilly brings deep reverence, experience, and wisdom to each gathering.
17. Are there songs or music involved?
Yes — original sacred songs and chants written specifically for this journey are part of the journey. They’re woven into ceremonies and fire circles to activate healing, remembrance, and unity with all life.
